Celebrating 75 years of worship in South Oklahoma City!
For Visitors:
The Episcopal Church worships in the English tradition and is part of the World Wide Anglican Communion. You might hear our service called "Anglican" referring to the English connection to our style of service. Each service contains Bible readings from the Old and New Testaments, the Gospels, and the Psalms. We have an uplifting sermon that will connect the Bible readings to your present-day life. Our services follow the 1979 Book of Common Prayer, which guides you through the ceremonial aspects of our service. Click on the links below for Rite I and Rite II for the schedule of service. More about our service:
Communion (the Eucharist):Coming to the altar rail for communion is your private moment with God. Come forward with the others, but you will never be singled out.
Liturgy:The ceremonial aspect and order of the service.
Blessings:If you have a special need for a prayer, come up to the rail for a blessing -- whether it is a birthday, anniversary, a sickness or some other need. A special prayer awaits you.
Readings and Responses: Follow along in the Book of Common Prayer or listen and observe. See "A Month of Sundays" for more information on our Episcopal Service and how we hope you give us more than one visit to learn about our liturgy.
